Captain Isaac Paine Elementary school is one of three elementary schools in the Foster-Glocester Regional School District and the only elementary school in the Town of Foster, RI. Captains Isaac Paine (CIP) is home to 265 K-5 students and 31 teachers. This small community school also offers two (a.m. and p.m.) half-day pre-school programs.
CIP was one of three schools in RI selected to serve as a Lighthouse School to model personalized learning and awarded a $200,000 grant to expand its personalized learning initiatives. CIP is also a “PBIS school with a focus on teaching students how to be contributing, positive members of our community”(paineschool.org, 2018).
The Library Media Specialist position is full-time with a fixed and flexible schedule. The fixed schedule is made up of 14 classes per week. The flexible schedule is for collaborative lessons, makerspace classes, and additional research project assistance or technology skills.
