Burrillville High School Library: Spring Reading Challenge

Welcome to the webpage for the school-wide Spring Reading Challenge! Below you will find suggested books for challenge categories 1-8. Click on a cover image to find out more about the book and see if it is available. You can also put a book on hold by signing in to your school library account. (How do I sign in to my account?)

You do not need to read a book in every category--the idea is to set a personal challenge for yourself. For example, if you typically read 1 or 2 books a month, you might challenge yourself to read 3 or 4 this month. If you usually read books in one genre, you might challenge yourself to read books in other genres this month.

Everyone who participates in the reading challenge will be invited to an after-school movie and pizza party in June, and anyone who reads at least two books will also be entered into a drawing for an gift card!

Challenge #6: Books Into Movies

Challenge #8: 2017 Teens' Top Ten

Each year, teen book groups at fifteen different libraries nominate their favorite books, and then teens across the country vote for their favorites to determine the Teens' Top Ten. Below are the ten books that were chosen in 2017. Most of the books are available at the BHS library, and the other books can be borrowed through interlibrary loan. See Mrs. Bruscini if you would like to request a book through interlibrary loan!
