Get started on
The Battle of the Books 2023-2024!
The Battle of the Books is a reading incentive activity that all grade 4 students will participate in over the course of the year.
What do you need to do?
READ!
Attached is a list of 20 books of all different genres and reading levels. In order to qualify to participate in the Battle of the Books event which will be held in June, students must read a minimum of 8 books from the list and pass an Accelerated Reader quiz on it. Here’s how it works:
Take an Accelerated Reader quiz on each book you read, when you get an 80% or better you will receive a sticker that will be tracked in the library.
Read as many as you can. You need 8 to participate in the Battle celebration, 12 to play in the teachers vs. students kickball game and there’s a prize for those who read all 20.
There will be fun competitions between the classes along the way.
This activity is for everyone! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Kenyon at lkenyon@westerly.k12.ri.us
Happy Reading…let the Battle begin!
