Placing Books on Hold from Other School Libraries

Placing a hold on a book from another school library is easy. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click advanced search (in blue) in the above "Search the Eldredge Library Catalog" box.
  2. Click the login button in the top right hand corner.
  3. Type in your username and password (This is the same username you use to log onto the network which is also your lunch number, and the password is egr)
  4. Select "RICAT (All members)" from the "location" dropdown menu.
  5. Search for a book.
  6. Click on title of the book you want to place on hold.
  7. Click on the "Hold It" icon in the upper right corner (above green arrow).
  8. You're done.  We'll notify you when your book arrives.

If you still can't find a book for your topic, try the RI Public Library catalog.

Scholastic Reading Counts Quizzes


All of the 20 RICBA 2019 nominees are on Reading Counts. A passing grade is 70 or higher. If a student doesn't pass, he/she can take the test once more after a wait period of 3 days during which they should review the book.
