Country Research Final Project Options

Final Project Options

Now that you are finished with your research, let's share our information!

You may complete any of the final project activities as you'd like.

Each activity is worth a certain amount of points. You must earn 10 points or more to be finished with this assignment. 

Here is a list of the activities and the points they are worth.

Draw the flag - 3 points

Draw a landmark - 3 points

Pack your suitcase - 5 points

Word cloud - 5 points

3 post cards - 5 points

Google Slides Presentation - 7 points

Draw a Picture of your Country's Flag - 3 points

Use a piece of computer paper to draw your country's flag. 

Then, on the back, write facts about the flag.

Draw a Picture of a Famous Landmark in your Country - 3 points

Use a piece of computer paper to draw a popular landmark or destination in your country.  

You should include a caption that explains your landmark below your drawing.

Pack Your Suitcase - 5 Points

Directions: Using a pack your suitcase paper, draw things you will need if you were to move to your country. Then, explain why you would need each item. Add color and staple your suitcase together!

Word Cloud - 5 Points

Follow these steps to create a word cloud: 

1. Type a list of words related to your country in a Google Doc. 

2. For the most important words, type them more than once. The more times you type them, the bigger they will appear in your word cloud. 

3. Go to ABCya Word Cloud generator. 

4. Copy your words from your Google Doc and paste them into the word cloud. 

5. Choose layout, color, and font for your word cloud

6. When you word cloud is finalized, right click on the word cloud and COPY image. 

7. Return to your Google Doc and PASTE the word cloud under your words.

Send 3 Postcards - 5 Points

Directions: Pretend you are on a trip visiting your country. Use 3 index cards to send postcards home to friends and family! On one side, draw a picture of a scene from your country. On the other side, write a short note to a family member or friend telling them how your trip is going.

Directions: CHOOSE ONE of the articles below. Use the "Fake News Detection" checklist to decide if the article is real or fake. 

Then, explain how you know your article is real or fake. Use evidence!
