Sora by Overdrive

Sora by Overdrive

Sora by Overdrive is our provider of digital content such as e-books, audiobooks, and magazines. Students and faculty are allowed to take out up to 3 e-books/audiobooks at a time. The loan period is 14 days, and materials are automatically returned at the end of the loan period, if not renewed.

Some materials are single-license, meaning only one user at a time can access the content; in this instance, users are able to place holds on the material for when it becomes available. Sora can also be downloaded on mobile devices, such as tablets or phones, by searching Sora in the app store.

Please review the video below for a more in-depth overview of Sora.

How do I search for and check-out an eBook and audiobooks?

  1. Login to Clever and scroll down to the More Apps section
  2. Look for the Sora by Overdrive icon which can be seen here:
  3. Users will have to perform a one-time setup when accessing Sora for the first time.
  4. Your library will be listed as RISOCKS on the selection screen choose East Providence City Schools
  5. On the next screen, you will be presented with a dropdown, where you may once again choose East Providence City Schools
  6. Once logged in, users may search by category, or use the search bar to search for specific titles
  7. Once a title has been held, it will be located in your shelf which can be accessed at the bottom of the screen. Your shelf is where you can access rented materials, or opt to renew or return them early.

Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg has more than 42,000 free ebooks: epub books and kindle books. You can also download them or read them online. These are free for you to use. Project Gutenberg features titles for which the copyright has expired and have since entered the public domain, due to this, many of the titles are older selections.
