WWHS Library Mission Statement

The mission of the West Warwick High School Library Media Center program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of information and to encourage and prepare students to be life-long learners. This mission is accomplished by:

  • providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats
  • providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas
  • working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students
  • supporting the school's curriculum and reading initiatives

The WWHS Library

The West Warwick High School Library Media Center offers students and teachers easy access to a variety of research tools and useful information. Many of our resources may also be accessed online.

The library has many available materials in a variety of formats, including books, ebooks, and audiobooks. In addition, we have access to several subscription databases. Students may visit the library with a class or as individuals with permission and a pass from their classroom teacher. The library is open before school, throughout the day, and after school.
