Summer Reading Requirements for Course: British Literature, Honors

Honors British Literature Summer Reading Requirements

Three Required Readings and Assignments:

  1. Choice book #1. Select one book to read from the INJUSTICE FICTION or INJUSTICE NONFICTION reading options.  Complete the EGHS Choice Summer Reading Graphic Organizer for the book you selected to read from the fiction or nonfiction Injustice reading list.
  2. Choice book #2. Select one book to read from the INJUSTICE FICTION or INJUSTICE NONFICTION reading options.  Complete the EGHS Choice Summer Reading Graphic Organizer for the book you selected to read from the fiction or nonfiction Injustice reading list.
  3. Read The Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde.  Arrive to school prepared for an assessment of The Importance of Being Ernest.
  • In addition to your reading, students may wish to gather a group of classmates and view the 2002 film version of Ernest starring Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon.
