Cranston East is participating in Governor Raimondo's April reading challenge for all students.
Here are two ways that CHSE students, faculty & staff can share their reading:
1. Send us a photo of yourself reading. Go to the Google Form below and tell us about a book you are reading or about your favorite book. Upload a photo of yourself reading, and we will include it in a slideshow that will be posted on the CHSE Library website each week. We will be having weekly drawings for all students who participate and the winners will receive gift cards.
2. Write a book review. The CHSE Library has a book review blog that includes over 500 book reviews written by students and teachers. Students and teachers can write and submit short book reviews for books that they've read by going to the Google Form below. Please only submit books that would be enjoyed by high school students. We will also be having weekly drawings for gift cards for all students who participate in this reading initiative as well. Here's the link to the Google Form and this form can also be found in the "CHSE Book Review Blog" tab on the library website: https://forms.gle/Jf5FtL5BycDqJL73A
Wondering where to find books during the COVID-19 closures?
The CHSE Library website has an eBooks section! Visit the eBooks tab above to learn how to access over 1700 eBooks through our library, as well as free eBooks from Ocean State Libraries and other sites around the world. Regular books (on paper) are great for this challenge as well. Please feel free to read anything you enjoy!
