Library classes for grades K-5 meet for 35 minutes each week. We alternate between a Lesson Week and a Book Circulation Week.
Mrs. Gaiewski also collaborates with teachers to create research and technology projects.
Beginning second quarter, Kindergarteners borrow one book each library class. When students return their book they may borrow a new one. If they forget their book, they can enjoy it until the next library class.
Grade 1 borrows 1 book for two weeks.
Grade 2 borrows 2 book for two weeks.
Grades 3 - 5 borrows 2 books for 2 weeks and they may borrow a magazine.
It is the student's responsibility to take care of his/her books and return them to the library on the due date. The due date is written in the back of the book. Library homework is to return books on the day they are due. If a book is damaged in any way, please return it as soon as possible to Mrs. Gaiewski.

All students now have access to Tutor.com through the Cranston Public Library’s website. From 2:00-10:00 daily, students can connect with a live online tutor and receive individual homework help in any subject area. You are limited to five sessions a week and you must have a valid Cranston Public Library card to enter the site. Click on the icon to the left to be taken to the Tutor.com portal. The Cranston Public Library is now Fine Free for children's and teens materials! No fines will be charged for late or overdue materials from Cranston Libraries. If materials belonging to other libraries in the state are late, there may be fines, but please talk with a librarian! They will work with you to see what they can do!

ORCHARD FARMS SCHOOL LIBRARY
CLIENTELE AND SERVICE POLICY
The Orchard Farms School Library serves as its primary clientele the Orchard Farms school students, staff, teachers, service providers, family and community, without regard for age, gender, religious or ethnic background, political affiliation, educational ability or economic status. As a member of the RILINK Consortium, the Orchard Farms School Library further extends full access to its materials and services at no charge to the RILINK Consortium schools, libraries and communities. The Orchard Farms School Library’s resources are chosen for its students, staff and faculty. Resources are chosen to support the Cranston Public School curriculum and to engage and excite students ages K – Grade 5. Resources include books, ebooks, periodicals, CD’s, DVD’s, digital books and online databases. The Library is a large facility with eight tables, a projector, a Prometheon Board, an Elmo, and a computer lab with 19 desktop computers. The facility is available for use by the school community per approval from the school principal. The Library has a fixed schedule of classes Monday through Friday with additional time available for collaborative research projects on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Curriculum integration and collaboration are the lifeblood of the library. The Library also offers on-line databases as well as Internet access. The library webpage and LibGuide (http://guides.rilinkschools.org/stallions) provide access to the on-line catalog, selected online databases through the RILINK Consortium, various curriculum resources and integrations, and numerous links to recommended Internet resources.
