How to Borrow eBooks from Your School Library

  1. Go to  
  2. Enter your location and school.
  3. Log in with the following:

Username: CRA and your student ID #

Password: your student ID #



There is also a Destiny Read app that you can download onto your phone.

Get books delivered from other school libraries

If you want to put a book on hold from another school library:

  • Click the "Advanced Search" link under the search buttons in the "Find a Book in the West Library" box above.
  • Log in with your username and password.  
    • Student usernames are CRA plus your student ID number
      • (example: CRA12345)
    • Student passwords are your student ID number without the CRA
      • (example: 12345)
  • Use the search field to search for the book you want
  • When you find it, click on the title and click "Hold It" on the right hand side.
  • Make sure you "Logout" when finished.

Using the app "Libby" with a Public Library Card

  1. Download the Libby App
  2. Sign up with a Public Library Card
  3. If you don't have a public library card you can apply for one here.
  4. To borrow you will be asked for a PIN number. If you don't have one or can't remember yours, you can create one online.  Click on "Sign In" and click on "Forgot Your Pin?"

Search the Public Library for a book, CD or DVD

Click the link above to search the public library catalog. You can search by title, general keyword, author, subject, and series. Limit your searches by format (DVD, graphic novel etc.) or by library branch.

Cranston High School West Library Loan Policy

Borrowing Books and Magazines  - The loan period is 15 school days (3 weeks). Limit: 3

Renewal - You may come to the library to renew if you need additional time. Please bring book or magazine when renewing.

Late Fees - The library charges 10 cents per school day for overdue materials.

You may not borrow if... - You have an overdue book.

Lost Books and Magazines - Students must pay list price toward the cost of replacing lost or damaged materials.

Notices - Check your CPS e-mail and/or "My Info" in your library account to check for due dates, overdues, fines, and hold status.
