Pumpkin Eye - Facial Expressions

  • Read Pumpkin Eye by Denise Fleming, asking the kids to count the jack o'lanterns every time they appear.

  • Show the Super Simple Songs "Five Little Pumpkins" and ask the students to mimic the emotions the pumpkins are feeling.


 

  • Give them this coloring page by Denise Fleming and ask them to draw faces on the pumpkins ... are they happy? sad? mad? pouty?
     
  • Can follow up with How Are You Peeling? by Saxton Freymann.
