Capt. Isaac Paine Elementary School Library: Reading Suggestions

READING LISTS:

           A diverse collection that helps produce and promote literature that reflects and honors the lives of all young people.

            The RICBA nominees are chosen annually. Students in grades 3rd - 5th who read at least 3 of the nominees may vote for their         

            favorite book in February.

The Geisel Award is given annually to the author(s) and illustrator(s) of the most distinguished American book for beginning readers.

The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.

The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.

​    The RIMBA nominees are chosen annually. Students in grades 6th - 8th who read at least 3 of the nominees may vote for   

               their favorite  book in February.
