Peace Dale Elementary School Library: Coding

Hour of Code

Dance Party Video

Here's a tutorial for one of the coding activities called "Dance Party". This will show you what coding on the Code.org site is like. Watch out- you'll get hooked!  Consider yourself warned!  : )

Coding in the Library!

Students in Grades 2-4 are given an account on code.org. This takes place after introducing Hour of Code to the students during Computer Science Education Week. In schoolyear 2019-20, this takes place December 9-15. After the introduction, students will work in code.org for a month during library class time. During and after that time, students can also work from home or during rotation or free-choice times in the classrooms. Students only need their sign-ins to work in code.org. For any question about student log-ins, please contact Mrs. B: mbadigian@sksd-ri.net.
