How Does It Work?

How does it work?  

Teams of 4 students from 5th and 6th grade read the pre-selected novels and compete for prizes in the "Battle of the Books."  Teams that answer the most questions correctly will be crowned winners. 

How many books do I have to read?  

There are 6 pre-selected novels, but decide with your teammates who reads what books.   Read the books at your leisure time.  Come to the  meetings to review the books together. Possible meeting times-- SOAR or after school.

What is Battle of the Books?

Battle of the Books promote a love of reading , expose students to titles and authors that they might not encounter in school and to inspire teamwork and good sportsmanship in an atmosphere of friendly competition.
