WEEK 6 - Regions

Anthropology: Powerpoint 6

Your group will be assigned a specific region to research. Your research will focus on how the humans that live in that region have adapted to survive in that region. Your presentation should include the following information:

  • map/images of the region
  • brief description of the region, including some of the challenges with living there
  • description of some of the historical cultural groups that live in that region
  • description of some of the modern cultural groups that live in that region
  • description of how these groups have BIOLOGICALLY adapted to the region
  • description of how these groups have CULTURALLY adapted to the region
  • images of all groups / adaptations discussed

​​Powerpoints should be somewhere between 3-5 minutes long. Longer than that is fine, but they should not be less that 3 minutes.

WEEK 7 - Modern Cultural Groups

Your group will be assigned a modern cultural group to research for the remainder of the year.

For your first presentation, you will research basic introductory information about your culture, and it should include the following information:

  • maps
  • historical information
  • global population
  • historical migrations
  • relations with neighboring groups
  • settlement patterns
  • interesting and unique aspects of the culture

Powerpoints should be somewhere between 3-5 minutes long. Longer than that is fine, but they should not be less that 3 minutes.
