Students in first grade will be using Kids a-z in their classroom and in the library. This is a reading site where students are able to listen to and read leveled books independently and take quizzes on content they have read.

Students in grade one are working to independently login in to desktop computers and Accelerated Reader with their own username and password. We will be reading the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems in library. Students will be able to practice logging in and taking AR quizzes independently. Be on the lookout for TOPS reports which will display your child's progress on Accelerated Reader quizzes.

Students will be participating in the Hour of Code. A nationwide program that encourages students to learn about computer coding.
