Whats longer than a football field, weighs more than 450 cars, yet flies miles above Earth's surface? Its the International Space Station. In this book, you'll learn how the station was built and how crew members live and work there.

A space station is a large laboratory floating in space, where astronauts live and work for long periods of time. The Hubble space telescope allowed scientists to examine the rate at which the universe is expanding. The data shows that the universe is actually expanding at an accelerating rate.
