Capt. Isaac Paine Elementary School Library: Summer Reading

Dear CIP Students & Guardians:

Happy end of the 2022-2023 School Year! We know you are now ready to enjoy the summer months and we hope you will do so with some great reading activities in mind. This letter features reading programs/activities that you and your child can participate in over the summer through our school library website and public libraries:

What reading activities are available?

• Our school goal is for each child to read at least 20 minutes per day - being read to counts just the same!
• Participate in the Foster Public Libraries summer programs, find out more on their website: https://fosterlibraries.org
• Explore the Capstone Summer Adventure Bi-Weekly Choice Boards for reading and technology activities.
• Read a variety of books and keep track with the BINGO reading board.

All students that return the BINGO board during the first two weeks of school will receive a homework pass or treasure chest prize.

Please visit the Foster Public Libraries where they can help you locate appropriate books and will be offering summer reading incentives!
