Keyboarding skills are necessary for students to succeed in the 21st century. Students are introduced to these skills beginning in Kindergarten. Students in Grade 3 will be introduced to proper finger placement. The expectations are that students in Grade 3 should be able to type 15 words per minute (wpm) by the end of the year. Grade 4 expectations are 20 wpm and Grade 5 expectations are 25 wpm.
