Service Policy:
All students, teachers, staff members and parents----regardless of age, sex, political affiliation, educational ability, economic status, religious or ethnic background--are the primary clientele of the Winman Library. As a library in the Warwick School Department, the library serves all students, faculty, staff and parents of all Warwick Schools, including service to home-school students who reside in Warwick. As a member of RILINK the library further extends full access to its materials and services at no charge to RILINK and LORI member libraries across the state of Rhode Island.
Winman’s Library’s resources are chosen for their appropriateness for middle school students and the middle school curriculum. These resources include books, newspapers, periodicals, pamphlets, DVDs and video recordings.
Library services for clientele include reader’s advisory, reference, technical assistance and direct instruction. In addition, the library offers book clubs and before and after school reading, reference and technology assistance. The library webpage ricat.net provides access to the online catalog and links to curriculum related resources.
