Information has become increasing digital and the same source may be found in a variety of places. Following a set of rigid rules to document sources is no longer applicable. The new handbook is is based on guiding principles in citing sources. Certain items still need to be included in a citation, but it is much more flexible for writers.
Core Elements of a Citation: In your citation, the elements should be listed in the following order followed by the corresponding punctuation mark.
Entry's always begin with author’s last name, followed by a comma and the rest of the name. End this element with a period.
