2023 Middle School Book Award Nominees

Library Hours of Service Update for September 2023

2023-2024 School Year

The Narragansett Pier School Library is open on a flexible schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Students in grades 5-8 will now also a have a brand new Junior Mariners class!  Grades 5-7 will have this as part of a semester long UA class, while 8th graders will have Junior Mariners for a full year!  Students will be learning about Digital Citizenship, research skills, keyboarding, literature appreciation, and so much more!

 

Using the Pier School Library

Borrowing Library Items
The loan period is 15 school days (3 weeks). Students may have out up to 3 items at one time. Students with ANY overdue items may not take out materials until all overdue items are returned or replacement fees are paid. When students have multiple research projects, they can request to borrow additional items. 
 
Renewals
You may come to the library to renew if you need additional time. Please bring your items to the library when renewing. Students may renew their books online after logging into Destiny.
 
Late Fees
The library does not charge fees for late books. However, replacement fees are charged if a book is lost or damaged beyond reasonable repair.
 
Lost Books 
Students must pay the cost of replacing lost or damaged materials before borrowing additional items.
 
Notices
Destiny, the library catalog system, will send out automatic email overdue reminders to parent emails. Hard copy overdue notices will be sent home once a month.
 
Interlibrary Loan
As a member of the RILINK consortium, the NRP Library follows the consortium-level Interlibrary loan policy that is posted on the RILINK Website.
