Library Hours of Service Update for September 2020
The physical library is not open for browsing or use at this time due to Covid 19. Students are encouraged to request books through Destiny and written requests to Mrs. Mouradjian.
The Narragansett Pier School Library is open on a flexible schedule Monday through Friday from 8:05 a.m. until 2:35 p.m.
Students are encouraged to visit the library throughout the day, with the permission of their classroom teacher, as long as there are no scheduled classes taking place.
Please check with Mrs. Mouradjian to see if the library is open after school.
Using the Pier School Library
Borrowing Library Items
The loan period is 15 school days (3 weeks). Students may have out up to 3 items at one time. Students with ANY overdue items may not take out materials until all overdue items are returned or replacement fees are paid.When students have multiple research projects, they can request to borrow additional items.
You may come to the library to renew if you need additional time. Please bring your items to the library when renewing.
The library does not charge fees for late books. However, replacement fees are charged if a book is lost or damaged beyond reasonable repair.

You have an overdue book until all replacement fees are paid or the book is returned.
Lost Books and Magazines
Students must pay the cost of replacing lost or damaged materials before borrowing additional items.
Destiny, the library catalog system, will send out automatic email overdue reminders to parent emails. Hard copy overdue notices will be sent home once a month.
As a member of the RILINK consortium, the NRP Library follows the consortium-level Interlibrary loan policy that is posted on the RILINK Website.
