Jamestown Schools - Summer Work: Entering Grade 5

Summer work expectations for Melrose and Lawn School students in K-grade 9.

Entering Grade 5 - Summer Reading Expectations

  • It is the expectation that all fifth graders will read TWO books over the summer.  Ideally, book one should be read in July, and book two should be read in August. (Any additional reading is encouraged but not required).
  • Students are required to complete the corresponding Book Report Form (linked below) after reading every book for additional practice with reading comprehension and written expression.
