Students entering grades 6, 7, and 8 are encouraged to read during the summer. Read what you like! For suggestions, browse the RIMSBA tab for award-winning middle school titles. Read something from the current list (2026) or go back into the archives and read from the lists of past nominees. Students who bring in completed Summer Reading Formson paper or in their Google Drive will earn 1-2 extra points on their Quarter 1 ELA grade and be entered into a raffle. Last year, winners earned a free dance ticket to the homecoming dance.
