  • Yay!! The library is open for the 2023-2024 school year!!

We missed you.... so come in to grab a book, sit and read, take a break, or just say hi!  

If you are unable to visit our school library at this time, there are still many ways for you to keep reading. There are a variety of resources available for you to read or listen to books online.  Scroll down and look at the exciting options!

Follet Shelf - This is our school's collection of E-Books

 

  • Scroll down and browse the books in the ebook section or use the search box (use the + next to the search box to limit your results to ebooks)
  • If a book is available, you will see two options: Open and Checkout. To preview the book, choose Open. To borrow the book, which will add it to your device, choose Checkout. If you want to read the book, be sure to check it out. If a book is not available, you have the option to place a Hold so you can read it when it is returned.
  • You may check out more than one ebook at a time.

THEN

  • Download the Destiny Read app on your smartphone, tablet, or e-reader.
  • Open the app. In the Location box, find Rhode Island.
  • In the Schools box, start typing Alan Shawn Feinstein and you should see ASFMS
  • Log in  ( your log in information is your cov+6 digit student number and your password is cov ) E-mail Mrs. Sefcsik if you have trouble.
  • Your ebooks will appear. Click the 3 lines for the menu options.
  • ebooks will automatically be returned on their due date. You can return an ebook earlier by clicking "Remove."

Destiny Discover shows all titles in our library collection. Look at the "ebook" and "audiobook" sections to see titles available for digital download.

First Book offers thousands of free ebooks geared specifically for middle school readers! The selection is large and easy to browse since it organized by genre.

How to download the App:
1. Go to the App Store on your device (Apple or Android).
2. Search for “Open eBooks” and follow the instructions to download.
3. Open the app.
4. Agree to any terms and conditions.
5. Enter your code and PIN combination  when prompted.
6. Browse the catalog of books available.
7. Download eBooks of interest to you and enjoy reading! 
8. You can download 10 eBooks at a time. Each eBook will be available for 56 days before it must be renewed.
