Welcome! This page is for you, Mr. Maynard's students, as you research topics related to Reconstruction. I'm sure that many of you already have started to look for information, and most of you probably have some favorite websites and search engines. The links on this page are meant to introduce you to some resources that may be new to you. I hope they are helpful to you as you search for information on your topics. If you find any great sites that I should add to this page, please send me an email or speak to me during class, and I will be happy to add them. Wishing you all the best with your research project.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Blais
Here are some of the books available in the CHSE Library on the topic of reconstruction. You can use the library catalog to look for more books about specific topics, events, or people.
American Civil War and Slavery in America are multi-volume reference sets that include information on reconstruction. The CHSE Library has these resources in e-book format. You can access both of these e-book sets by clicking on the Gale Virtual Reference Library link below. The password is cran_log and you will find these reference sets in the History section of the Gale Virtual Reference Library.
The History Reference Center contains a weath of information about American and World History. You can access it by clicking on the icon above, or by going to the Ebsco database section on http://askri.org.
Use the CHSE Library catalog to search for additional resources (including biographies and events) for this project.
Please follow these steps to log in to the CHSE Library Catalog and place a book on hold from another library:
