This database allows you to customize your search by mood, pace, character type, genre, and much more. There are also many reading lists already created, such as "For Fans of Star Wars," to inspire your reading selections!
You do not need to create an account. Simply type the title or author of the book you want a readalike suggestion for, and the site will provide suggestions based on users' favorite books.

Global Storybooks is a free multilingual literacy resource for children and youth worldwide. Read, download, toggle, and listen to a wide variety of illustrated stories from the African Storybook and other open sites. Development continues at the University of British Columbia, Canada.

Unite for Literacy

Great for all students, but especially our English Language Learners.

After selecting a book, click on the narration button in the upper left corner of the screen and choose the language in which you wish to hear the book. You can listen in your native language and English.

Teen Kids News is an international 1/2 hour weekly program that is informative, educational and entertaining! The show has been on the air since 2003, and given how many people watch it and love it, the show will be on forever!
Teen Kids News (TKN) highlights stories about kids doing amazing things and helping to make the world a better place.
In addition, the TKN reporters on the show (who are, of course, all kids!) report on everything that is fun, interesting or important about our world. These stories range from how to deal with bullying to kids who fly planes to tips on getting into college to how to start a business.

You can get the On Air Schedule of what time and what channel the show is on TV in your area.
