Lippitt School Library: Kindergarten

In our kindergarten library, we immerse young minds in the enchanting world of books and learning. Before delving into captivating stories, we introduce library basics and the joy of exploration. As the seasons change, so do our activities. In fall, we explore autumn tales; in winter, our library transforms into a snowy wonderland. Alongside literary adventures, we focus on social-emotional learning (SEL), using stories to teach empathy, cooperation, and emotional expression. Our goal is to foster a community of eager learners, where curiosity thrives, imaginations soar, and a lifelong love for reading begins.

"Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open." - Laura Bush
