Your librarian is Ms. Tanner on Mondays and Mrs. Gendron on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have a fixed schedule of 50-minute classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 8:50 - 3:20. You can reach us at ktanner@cpsed.net or jgendron@cpsed.net.
The Stone Hill School Library serves a community of approximately 250 students and their families, as well as 35 teachers, service providers, and support staff, without regard for age, gender, religious, or ethnic background, political affiliation, educational ability or economic status.
The Stone Hill School Library's resources are selected based on review sources, curriculum connections, student requests, annual awards lists.
In addition, the Library has one classroom sized facility, a projector, five tables, and 30 laptops. Over the summer the library furniture was updated and it looks beautiful! We have new tables, chairs, a large reading run, two bean bag chairs, two floor seats, and four small couches.
As a member of the RILINK Consortium, the Stone Hill School Library further extends full access to its materials and services at no charge to the RILINK Consortium schools, libraries, and communities. If a teacher or student would like a book that we don't have at Stone Hill they may take advantage of our Interlibrary Loan program, through which we can order materials from more than 200 other Rhode Island school libraries.
Classroom teachers may check out as many books as they need for however long they need them.
Students, you are responsible for all items you check out. Please do not loan your library books to your friends! Lost or damaged books must be replaced, either with a new book or the cash equivalent (generally $10 for paperbacks and $20 for hardcovers).
