The library is a place to read, research, study, and create. Students visit the library during assigned classes and may work independently or complete small group projects quietly under library supervision. Library expectations apply before, during and after school.
Jamestown School Libraries support the mission and curriculum of the Jamestown School District and builds the foundation needed to transform students into lifelong learners, independent readers and respectful, responsible, ethical global citizens with the ability to make positive contributions to the world around them. This mission is accomplished by:

You have 3 books out.
Lost Books and Magazines
Students must pay the cost of replacing lost or damaged materials before borrowing additional items.
Notices
Overdue notices are emailed home to families or directly to the student, when age-appropriate. Students can also check their personal library account for due dates, overdue or hold status or library fines. Notices will be sent out bi-weekly.
Inter-library Loan

Miss Cunningham is ALWAYS looking for volunteers to return books to the shelves, assist students with book check-out, and complete special library projects. Contact Kate Cunningham at cunningham.kathryn@jamestownschools.org to set up a time to chat about your availability and your interests.
It is often possible to get class sets of books through Inter-library loan. If you would like to get a class set of books, please check with Miss Cunningham to see if there are enough copies of the title available throughout the RICAT Inter-library loan system. If enough copies are available, please give me a copy of your class list, and I will request a book for every student. Please plan in advance, as it usually takes three-four weeks for all of the books to arrive.
