  1. In class instruction: Create MLA citation for O*Net (this is your second required citation)
  2. 2nd citation due by the end of class
  3. Make any needed corrections to notecards (as indicated by feedback provided by Mrs. Steever)
  4. In class work: 4 additional notecards due by the end of class (8 total)

Project Expectations

Project Goals (This is your entire quarter 1 grade):

  • Research a potential career path as identified through Matchmaker activity on Xello
  • Utilize NoodleTools to cite minimum three research resources in MLA format
  • Utilize NoodleTools to take notes online (16 notecards minimum)
  • Present research to school community as an infographic
  • Learn about additional career opportunities 
  • Provide respectful and helpful feedback to classmates on their work
  • Points will be deducted for work that is turned in late

To Earn a Three this Quarter:

  1. Three correctly completed citations.
  2. 16 completed notecards that address seven research topics using the three resources cited.
  3. Seven research topics are presented as an infographic. Research is summarized in complete, well-written sentences.
  4. MLA formatted Works Cited included on infographic.
  5. Capitalization, spelling and grammatical rules are followed on infographic.
  6. Selected images are relevant to career topics and included on infographic.
  7. Three quality pieces of feedback are provided to classmates on final peer reflection activity.
  8. Project deadlines are met.

 

To Earn a Four this Quarter:

  1. Three or more correctly completed citations.
  2. More than 16 notecards that address eight+ research topics using the three resources cited.
  3. Eight+ research topics are presented as an infographic.  Research is summarized in complete, well-written sentences.
  4. MLA formatted Works Cited included on infographic.
  5. Capitalization, spelling and grammatical rules are followed on infographic.
  6. Selected images are relevant to career topics and included on infographic.  The infographic is pleasing to the eye.
  7. More than three quality pieces of feedback are provided to classmates on final peer reflection activity.
  8. Project deadlines are met.
