East Greenwich School District Summer Work: AP Physics C

Work students from Cole Middle School and East Greenwich High School are expected to complete over the summer, prior to school opening.

Welcome to AP Physics C

AP Physics C students,

Summer is upon us and it is a good time to begin planning for the coming school year. For most of you, senior year is a very busy year with college applications, standardized tests, and Sr. Project. Use this time wisely!

Required resources are linked from the column to the right. Bookmark these sites as you will find them useful throughout the year.

AP Physics C students are required to complete the edX On-Ramp to AP Physics C Mechanics course (explained on this webpage).  This assignment needs to be completed by the end of summer.  Any student not completing this assignment by the required date should reconsider his/her enrollment in this course. There will be an assessment on these materials during the first week of school in the fall. Email me if you have any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you back in school!

  • This short course is intended for the high-school students who have taken an introductory-level physics course, acquired some background in Mechanics and intend to take a more advanced course – for instance, AP Physics C. The course helps the students refresh and strengthen their fluency with the mathematical tools and the fundamental topics in Mechanics: Kinematics, Newton’s laws and Laws of Conservation. The last unit of the course contains a comprehensive Final Exam. The students who complete this mini-course will be well-prepared to tackle more advanced course material in the fall.
