Research Focus

What you need to research:

  1. Chief issue(s): Explain the challenges the organization is addressing and why the issue is significant.  (Mission or Vision)
  2. What the organization does. (Programs, initiatives, services, actions, etc.)
  3. How it is improving conditions for Americans affected by the issue/challenge: Effect on participants/members, achievements (laws passed, regulations enacted, court cases, etc.), data on outcomes, etc.

Instructions for Sharing Your Infographic with Your Teacher

  1. Create your Infographic using Piktochart. Make sure you included your source (in correct MLA format) at the bottom of the image.
  2. Name your Infographic.  Click on the pencil in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.  Follow the naming protocol: Name of organization - First name Last name Period X.
  3. Select DOWNLOAD.  Select the word in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.  Use the settings selected below:
  4. The image will be saved to your downloads folder on your device.  Attach the image file to an email to your teacher.

Sharing Your PiktoChart with Your Teacher

Instructions for Sharing Your Infographic with Your Teacher

  1. Create your Infographic using Piktochart. Make sure you included your source (in correct MLA format) at the bottom of the image.
  2. Name your Infographic.  In the Piktochart program, click on the pencil in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.  Follow the naming protocol: Name of organization - Your First name Your Last name Period X.
  3. DOWNLOAD the Infographic.  Select DOWNLOAD in the upper right-hand corner of the Piktochart program. Use the settings selected below:
  4. The image will be saved to your downloads folder on your device.  Attach the image file to an email to your teacher AND Mrs. Steever (msteever@egsd.net) to receive credit.  Please tell Mrs. Steever what class period you are in so she can post your Infographic to the correct page.
