Cinquain Poems

The poem about the teacher is one example of a Cinquain Poem. Here's another one:

Line 1: noun CAR

Line 2: two adjectives which describe the noun SHINY, NEW

Line 3: three action words that end with -ing DRIVING, ZIPPING, SPEEDING

Line 4: a four word phrase or feeling: IT GOES SO FAST

Line 5: synonym for noun MY JEEP

This is what is looks like when it's done:

Car

Shiny, New

Driving, Zipping, Speeding

It goes so fast

My Jeep

See how the last words in the first 2 lines rhyme. Then the 3rd and 4th lines. And finally the 5th and 6th lines.

Here's another example:

I would not like them here or there

I would not like them anywhere

I do not like green eggs and ham

I do not like them, Sam I Am

Would you like them in a house?

Would you like them with a mouse?
