Person of World War II research assignment

*Choose any person involved in World War Two and create an in-depth research slideshow about that person and what their involvement in World War Two was.  Include important contributions or events they were a part of. 

 

STEP 1

  • Choose your person and have them approved by Mrs. Krista

STEP 2

 

  • Begin research: *WE WILL BE IN THE LIBRARY FOR 3 DAYS FOR RESEARCH!! 
  • Library websites are great
  • .org or .edu sites are great *NO Wikipedia allowed
  • Save the links to all of the sites you use *MUST use at least 3 different sites
  • DO NOT copy and paste off the internet- that is plagiarism and will result in a zero
  • *While you are researching, please put all of the information you find into the chart below.  I will be checking the chart for a LA grade!

STEP 3

 

  • Create/ format your slide show
  • Set up the number of slides you will need
  • Decide how you want it to look
  • Get organized before you begin filling your slides!

STEP 4

 

  • Begin filling in your slides with the information you found
  • Use bullet points to make your points clear
  • Must include at least one image per slide

STEP 5

 

  • Re-read and edit your work
  • Are your titles capitalized?
  • Did you capitalize the names of people and places?
  • Proper grammar throughout?
  • Do you have all of the required information/images?
  • Do you have a works cited slide at the end?

  2. Start New Project
  3. Name the Project
  4. Add Citations (+Citations)
  • Website
  • Copy and paste URL
  • Click on website result
  • Try to find missing or incorrect information in website article
  • Click “Save”
  • Book with one Author
  • Click Book Tab
  • Type in ISBN number
  • Click on correct title
  • Click “Save”
  • Chapter in a Book
  • Find under “More”
  • Choose “Book Chapter”
  • Fill in information
  • Click "Save"
  • Database/E-Book articles
  • Copy formatted citation from database
  • Find under “More”
  • Choose Write/paste
  • Paste
  • Click “Save”
  1. When you are finished adding all citations 
  2. “Download Bibliography”
  3. Download to Google Drive
  4. Copy and paste the Works Cited page into your paper
